10u Gold All Stars - XTREME take 5th place in Nationals
8/3/2008 - The 10u Gold All Star Team - XTREME took 5th place at the ASA Western Nationals in Las Vegas this past week. They played in the intense Vegas heat reaching 110 degrees. They played the week long event in Las Vegas Nevada from Sunday, July 27 - Saturday, August 2. It was a double elimination tournament. On Saturday, August 2, they faced Simi Valley and had their first loss. Later in the day, they faced PQ Lightning and had their 2nd loss which eliminated them - but gave them 5th place overall.
The team also won a skills contest - for Overhand throw.
Thank you to all the parents, friends and families that came all the way from California to support the team! We even had friends and families from Vegas come out and cheer the team on - Thank you!!!!!
The team would like to thank everyone on the CGSA board for supporting us!!

10u Gold Xtreme All Stars are going to Nationals!
7/13/2008 - The 10u Gold Xtreme All Star Team will be going to the Western Nationals All Star Tournament July 27 - August 3, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The girls won 3 straight games in the ASA Southern California States Tournament in San Diego to qualify to go to the ASA Western Nationals 10u All Star Tournament in Las Vegas. They are one of 12 - 10u teams that qualified for Nationals. Let's wish them luck in Las Vegas! |

10U Gold and 14U All Stars at States in San Diego
7/11/2008 - The 10u gold and 14u All Star teams are in San Diego at the ASA Southern California States Games.
The 10u gold won their first 2 games, the 14 u lost their first game.

Cerritos 14u 2nd place in LA/South Bay District Tournament
7/1/2008 - The 14u All Stars are:Alex Avila,Jessika Castaneda,Shoshanna Cerritos,Cassie Ganioco,Ella Justesen,Miki Okazaki,Amanda Oravetz,Andrea Perez,Hannah Prewitt,Nicole Rosenberger,Jenna Willis,and Taylor Winters.The manager is Steve Ganioco.The coaches are:Gus Avila,George Molina,and Norman Okazaki.The scorekeeper is Tammy Winters.The 14u all stars would like to thank their families,friends,and the Cerritos Girls Softball association for their continued support.Without them,none of this would be possible.The 14u all stars are now off to San Diego to proudly represent the LA/South bay district in the ASA states tournament.

10U Gold - LA/South Bay District Champions
6/29/2008 - Team Xtreme the 10u Gold All Stars are the LA/South Bay 10u District Champions! They went undefeated in their District Games! They played La Mirada Gold for the Championship and won 7-6. Xtreme All Stars: Nicole Parker, Rachel Barajas, Deja Portillo, Melanie Okazaki, Jenna Llamas, Justina Peko,l Haley Lamb, Katie Valladao, McKenna Pisciotta, Jennifer Iseri, CariAnn Palmer, Heather Cameron - Coach John Valladao, Manager Craig Cameron, Coach Brian Iseri. The girls will now represent the LA/South Bay District in the ASA States Tournament later this month in San Diego. 10U Gold - Cerritos Tournament Champions
6/16/2008 - The 10U Gold All Star team took 1st place this weekend at the 10th Annual Cerritos All Star Tournament.
They played Torrance in the Championship game and won 9-2. Thank you to all the friends, family and softball sisters that came out to support and cheer the team on!

All Stars are on a Roll
6/2/2008 - The 2008 All Star teams are on a roll - bringing home trophies in 3 divisions! The 8u team again made it to the Semi Finals in Torrance. The 10u Silver won the Championship in Hacienda Heights. The 10u Gold won the Championship in Torrance. The 12u girls took 2nd in Torrance. Way to represent Cerritos! Thank you to all the parents and friends and families that came out and supported the teams! And all the Cerritos Softball sisters that came out to help cheer us on! Thank you! |

Girls play great at San Dieguito Tournament
5/27/2008 - The All Star girls played great this weekend! The 8U team made it to the semi- finals. The 10U gold took 2nd. And the 10U Silver took 1st.
Despite the rain and winds, the girls played hard representing Cerritos in their first All Star Tournament. Next weekend the 8U, 10U Gold, 12 and 14 are off to Torrance. The 10U Silver is off to Hacienda Heights. Good Luck Girls! |

5/2/2008 - Congratulations to the girls that made the 2008 All Stars. They will be representing Cerritos in several tournaments - beginning Memorial Day weekend through July. The Cerritos All Star Tournament will be held at the Cerritos Sports Complex on June 13 - June 15, 2008.

8U All Stars are going to STATES!
6/24/2007 - Congratulations to the 8U All Star Team which took 2nd place in the LA/South Bay District Tournament in Norwalk. The girls played hard by winning 2 games Sunday morning to get to the Championship game in the afternoon against La Mirada. The 8U All Star Team will represent Cerritos and the LA/South Bay District in the ASA State Tournament July 6-8, 207 in Lancaster. A great big "THANK YOU" to all the CGSA sisters, 10U All Stars, 12U All Stars, 14U All Stars, families and friends that came out and supported all of our All Star Girls.

Congratulations Cerritos 10U All Stars!!!
7/4/2006 - Congratulations to Cerritos 10U All Stars for taking first place and winning the Corona Diamond Classic held June 30, July 1, 2. The girls captured a 7-2 win over the Eastern District Champions, Corona Blue, which placed them in the Championship game against Corona White; with Cerritos walking away with a 7-1 win. The girls ignored the 100 plus temperatures and put together an outstanding performance displaying athleticism, knowledge, and strength. WAY TO GO GIRLS!!! |

Congratulations 8U All Star District Champs !!!!
6/28/2006 - Congratulations to our 8U All Stars for winning the LA South Bay District Championship. The team won five straight games to win the district championship. The Cerritos All Stars beat La Mirada Gold by a score of 6 - 0 in the championship game. The team will be traveling to Lancaster on July 7-9 to play in the State Tournament. Good Luck Girls. Four in a Row !!!!
6/23/2006 - Congratulation to our 8U All Stars who won their fourth tournament in a row. The girls beat Orange Villa Park 16 - 1 in the Championship Game at the Chino Hills All Star Tournament June 16,17 & 18th. The team has gone undefeated in 25 straight games. Way to go girls !!!

Three in a row !!! Congratulations 8U All Stars
6/13/2006 - Congratulation to the 8U All Stars for winning their third championship in a row. This last championship came at their own Cerritos 8th Annual All Star Tournament. Cerritos 8U All Stars won the championship by beating La Mirada Gold 5 -0. The 8U All Stars have an incredible records of 15 wins 0 losses and 3 ties in All Star play. Way to go girls!!!.

6/6/2006 - Congratulations to the Cerritos 8U All Stars for winning the Laguna Niguel Sea Country Classic held on June 2,3,4 2006. The 8U All Stars played Simi Valley in the Championship game with the final score being 2 - 0.

Congratulations to Cerritos 8U All Stars for Winning PQ Lighting Summer Classic
5/30/2006 - Congratulations to our 8 under All Stars who won the Penasquitos Summer Classic All Star Tournament held on May 26th - 29th 2006. This is the first time that a Cerritos 8U All Star team has won first place in an All Star Tournament. They were able to beat PYL (Placentia/ Yorba Linda) in the championship game by a score of 4 -1. Great Job Girls !!!!.
