10u Gold All Stars - XTREME take 5th place in Nationals
8/3/2008 - The 10u Gold All Star Team - XTREME took 5th place at the ASA Western Nationals in Las Vegas this past week. They played in the intense Vegas heat reaching 110 degrees. They played the week long event in Las Vegas Nevada from Sunday, July 27 - Saturday, August 2. It was a double elimination tournament. On Saturday, August 2, they faced Simi Valley and had their first loss. Later in the day, they faced PQ Lightning and had their 2nd loss which eliminated them - but gave them 5th place overall.
The team also won a skills contest - for Overhand throw.
Thank you to all the parents, friends and families that came all the way from California to support the team! We even had friends and families from Vegas come out and cheer the team on - Thank you!!!!!
The team would like to thank everyone on the CGSA board for supporting us!!

| 2008 Winterball Assessments |

Assessment date: Saturday, Aug 9th, check in time is at 8:30am start time 9:00am - Place Heritage Park - softball field in the back. Make sure your daughter brings her softball equipment - bat, helmet, glove, cleats. And also make sure they have something to drink!!

| 10-12 ASA Western Nationals Information |

The 10u All Star team will be going to Las Vegas, July 27 - August 3, 2008 to compete in the ASA Western Nationals Tournament. They will be one of 50 10u teams . Click on the link to go to the website:

If any one has any equipment that they are no longer going to be using and would like to donate it to someone that would get some use out of it please bring it down to assessments on August 9th . for example bats, gloves, helmets etc

Cerritos 10u Xtreme played their first elimination game on 07/30/2008 against scripps Ranch final score was 2-0 Cerritos. 07/31/2008 against Lonpac final score was 15-0 Cerritos. The game ended after the third inning due to a mercy rule. 08/01/2008 Cerritos beat Vista in the fourth inning due to mercy rule 12 - 0 Cerritos. next game saturday 8:00 against Simi Valley.
