SPRING 2023 Online Enrollment and Registrations

SPRING SEASON INFORMATION 

CGSA Spring Ball is a competitive season. Practices will begin the last week in January or first week in February (TBD per City of Cerritos consent). The season runs through April 2023.

OPENING DAY is scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2023.

PRACTICES AND GAMES are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at CERRITOS SPORTS COMPLEX 19900 Bloomfield Avenue, Cerritos CA 90703.

Please ENROLL ONLINE. The online enrollment will allow you to provide contact information, sign medical consent forms and code of conduct forms. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS ATTENDING OUR GAMES WITH THE CODE OF CONDUCT.  Your registration is not complete until you come to one of our four (4) IN-PERSON REGISTRATION DATES to pay your fees and snack bar deposit check ($100.00) and get sized for uniforms.

ASSESSMENT AND LAST DAY FOR A REFUND is scheduled for SATURDAY, JANUARY 28, 2023, 10:00AM at Heritage Park ball field, (back side of the park on Arabella Street/Maria Place).

 

WAIT LIST PLAYERS WILL BE ISSUED,  FIRST COME FIRST SERVED IN PERSON ONLY starting at 10:00AM ON ASSESSMENT DAY. Email or txt requests will not be accepted. Please come prepared to assess at the next available time spot. Players will only be assigned to a team if space is available. 

 

No further applications will be accepted after our DRAFT is held.

 

VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS, COACHES and UMPIRES are needed!!!! Rec Leagues all across the district are very short on volunteers as many players have ‘graduated’ from our league or have moved on to Travel Ball. Adult volunteers are needed to keep this league going. We are seeking Team Managers in all divisions. Please don’t wait until the last minute. We REALLY need to hear from you ASAP. If you would like to volunteer, please contact CGSA President, Melissa Snyder at Melissa.r.snyder@me.com

The following Board Member positions are needed: 

  • EXECUTIVE BOARD INTERNS: President, Treasurer, Player Agent
  • YEARBOOK COORDINATOR
  • TEAM MOM COORDINATOR
  • RECRUITER (Media creator / Advertiser) 
  • ON SITE UNIFORM COORDINATOR (assist in person with uniform sizing and distribution)
  • FUNDRAISER COORDINATOR FILLED!!
  • AWARDS AND PICTURES COORDINATOR

WE HAVE THE SNACK BAR IN THE SPRING ONLY!

One parent per player will be required to work at least one snack bar shift (3 hours ) during the season. If you are able to work more than one shift our SNACK BAR TEAM will appreciate it. The snack bar is a big fundraiser for the league and cannot stay open if we don’t have enough volunteers. Sign up with a friend for a 2nd shift and make it fun! 

YOUTH AND ADULT UMPIRES ARE NEEDED!! You will earn $50 per game, up to 4 games per weekend CASH!!!! Prerequisite: must be age 14 and up and must have excellent knowledge of USA Softball rules. Up front costs includes Umpire registration fees and purchase of your own umpire uniforms). CGSA will enforce a zero tolerance policy with regard to disrespectful behavior towards our Umpires.
